Attention Parents of Children Interested in Missoula Children's Theater
Forms are being sent home with students today. Please have them turned in by Friday, February 16th.
Try-Outs will be held on February 19 at 3:45 pm. I've been in contact with Missoula's representative and they have asked me to pass on the following information. Unlike previous years, there will be 60 parts total offered in this year's production. There are 14 parts for children ages 5-7 and 46 parts for the remainder of grades 2-8. If your child intends to audition, please plan to or arrange the pick up your child at 5:45 pm that Monday. Just prior to that time, the Missoula staff will assign parts and give out practice schedules. A select few of the older children will be asked to stay and practice on Monday following the audition. This will not be determined until after auditions are concluded.
Please keep in mind, that there can be many reasons that children are not assigned a part in the production. The most common reason is timidness as opposed to a lack of talent. If your child intends to try out, please discuss this possibility with them prior.
In addition, due to the nature of the practice schedule, if a child misses the audition or any practices for any reason, they unfortunately will not be able to participate in this year's production.
