"We battled them for a half, but their size turned out to be too much for us in the end. We tried to slow down their run game, which was our focus during the week, but they in turn were able to throw over the top of us a couple of times which broke the game open. They are a tough team to stop when they have both facets of their game working on all cylinders. They also went 8 for 8 on PAT's, which is very hard to do."
"We knew we would have to play mistake free just to stay in the game, but all things considered, our kids gave it all they had. FCSH isn't ranked number one in class D-2 for nothing. We will regroup and focus on finishing the season on a high note in our game this week vs. Meridian."
Sterling hosts Meridian this coming Thursday, Oct. 22nd with kickoff set for 7:00 pm.
