Middle School and High School Breakfast Changes

One of the upcoming changes for the new school year involves reverting to the previous system and reintroducing a genuine "second-chance" breakfast. Starting this school year, breakfast will be provided to all students between 7:45 am and 8:00 am. This breakfast session will mirror the full breakfast options available in previous years.

In cases where a student in grades 6-12 cannot participate in the initial breakfast due to their arrival time, they will still have the opportunity to partake in the "second-chance breakfast" during the Advisory Period, commencing at 8:50 am. The second chance breakfast will be designed for easy grab-and-go consumption and will offer a more streamlined version of the main breakfast or an alternative choice. Students can conveniently eat on the move or in their advisory classrooms.

Given that the offerings are more simplified, the cost of the second chance breakfast will be $2.00, as compared to the price of the main breakfast which is $2.20 for K-5 students and $2.50 for 6-12 students.

To clarify, the main breakfast is available to ALL students from 7:45 am to 8:00 am. However, it's important to note that students who don't reach their first period class on time will still be marked as tardy, even if they are in the building having breakfast. Additionally, a student who chooses to have the main breakfast also has the option to partake in the second chance breakfast, but charges will apply for both. If you prefer that your 6-12 grade student doesn't opt for this, please communicate your preference at home.
