Welcome to my website where you'll find information and updates about things happening in the classroom and at our school.  This website provides an excellent opportunity to communicate and connect and I encourage you to visit often.  I will do my best to keep my site updated so that each visit is a good one.

Current happenings in the History Room:

Capitol forum    Students have been selected for the 2011 Capitol Forum to be held on March 28 at our State Capitol.  Juniors for this year are Archie Keebler and Matt Erickson and our Seniors selected are John Parrish and Austin Magill.  They will be preparing for the upcoming forum by becoming experts in Terrorism, the Environment, International Trade and Nuclear Proliferation.

Ag Econ Field Trip to Chicago   Our class will be going to Chicago on March 17,18,and 19 to tour the CBOT and other sites in the Chicago area.  The highlight is always the opportunity to actually be on the CBOT floor as the markets open at 9:30 am.  It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students and we hope it suprs them on to a career in the agricultural world. The students attending this year are Jake Wirthele, John Parrish and Matt Erickson.

County Government Day   The date of the 2011 County Government Day is April 18. The Junior class looks forward to an opportunity to witness firsthand how our County officials work behind the scenes to make Johnson County one of the finest in Nebraska.  We will also be involved in a County Government Jeopardy competition with JCC and a mock trial presentation by both schools.  A highlight is always the delicious lunch served by the American Legion Auxiliary.
