Sterling Middle School Student's Art Work Chosen for 2015 Environmental Calendar
Launch the media gallery 1 playerA HUGE shout out to Colby Thies (6th grade), Morgan Haner (7th grade), and McKayla Vermeer (6th grade) for having their artwork be selected for the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality’s 2015 Environmental Calendar entitled “Nebraska: Don’t Waste It”! These three students’ artwork was selected from more than 1000 student entries from across the state of Nebraska who were vying for 13 coveted positions on the calendar. Congratulations also to Art teacher Mr. Stan Raetz who helped these girls to reach this honor.
Colby, Morgan, & McKayla will be invited by Governor Dave Heineman to be recognized at a ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol later this summer.
