…Ninety-eight, ninety-nine, one HUNDRED !!
The First Grade class celebrated the 100th day of school on February 1. They designed their own autograph book and tried to get 100 signatures. Each student had counted out 100 pieces of their favorite cereal and we started the day with a class breakfast. We did several activities involving the number 100 throughout the day. We created headbands to wear, read books about 100, created a picture using the number 100 and designed a name quilt using 100 squares.
We counted by 10’s to 100 using our class number strip and then graphed each month’s special shape and compared each month’s total days. The class enjoyed snacks which consisted of 100 M&M’s on a giant cookie, and 100 different pieces of fruit on our 100th day. Thank you to all the parents that helped in providing treats for our special day. The day was 100-derful !
