First Grade Makes Ice Cream

A special highlight this year in the first grade room is having the Button Jar. Students are given buttons to keep throughout the day. At the end of each day, students who exhibit good behavior are able to put buttons into the jar. When the Button Jar overflows with buttons, the students earn a reward.
The students enjoyed having a class party as their one of their first rewards. They each took part in making ice cream. They enjoyed adding toppings and brownies to their creation and had a great time!
