Sterling girls defeated Sidney, Iowa girls 48 – 31. This game was paced by the referees. Combined both teams shot 64 free-throws. Sterling forced Sidney into 23 turnovers for the game. That turned out to be one of the keys to the game. Sidney had a first quarter lead of 10-9 before Sterling outscored Sidney 13-7 in the second. Ten of those points came off of free-throws. The second half we started limiting their second chance shots. McKenzie McAuliffe had 6 defensive rebounds and Stephanie Heusman added 4.
