Lady Jets VS Dorchester

Sterling High School at Dorchester

 

Dorchester defeated the Sterling Lady Jets 51 – 42.  Dorchester jumped out to a quick 16-7 lead in the first quarter, making 7 out of 12 shots.  Sterling just could not find the range shooting 2 of 12 in the first quarter.  Shooting woes continued in the second as the Lady Jets made only 1 of 12 shots.  By half-time, Dorchester had stretched their lead to 27-14.  The third quarter Sterling switched to a five guards and went full court defense.  Dorchester had stretched their lead to 19 points in the early fourth quarter, but with some good defense and some accurate free-throw shooting Sterling had pulled to  points with 1:00 to play.  Dorchester ended up making a layup and then the tow teams traded free-throws to end the game.

 

Kala Weber paced the Lady Jets with 27 points.  Wendy Boller and Karmen Lawver scored 12 and 10 points respectively to lead Dorchester.  Sterling plays in the Parkview Holiday Tournament.
