Sterling coach Stan Karr said the Lady Jets “swung hard” in the Lewiston match.  “We stayed in the rallies keeping the ball alive,” Karr said. “We were mentally tough.”  Karr said the Lady Tigers have a good defense and positioned themselves well.

In the final match, Karr said the Lady Jets started well and kept their composure in the end to defeat “a much-improved” College View team.  “We had some trouble with Brittany Hauck, their outside hitter,” Karr said.  According to Karr, Heusman's serving was key early in the first set.  “Steph Heusman came in and served well,” Karr said. “She had all five of her ace serves to get us off to a 5-0 run.”
Sterling was ahead of College View 23-22 in the second set, but fell 26-24.  Karr said the Lady Jets put the match away with a solid finish.  “We finished strong at the end,” Karr said. “We kept our composure.”
