" We had trouble containing their option game all night long. Carlson is one of the best quarterbacks we've seen at running that(the option)in a long time. We had guys in position a lot of times to stop him, but to no avail. Davis was a real horse at fullback as well. But in our defense, if we had a couple of things break our way, we were right there in the ballgame. But it wasn't to be. We will continue working hard in practice and hopefully better things will happen for us as the season progresses."

Sterling's next game is Sept. 14th vs Freeman in Sterling. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m
