Sunday, September 9, 2007, the Sterling Jets, teachers, staff & community gathered at the park for the Annual Homecoming Extravaganza. The event started with the Power of Jets(Ten) game where the teachers and staff competed in knowledge about current events at Sterling High School. The elementary then participated in the Stompin' the Falcons Balloon Race. 1st place winner was Josh Mauser and 2nd place went to Cameron VanGroningin.
The "Drowning Falcon race followed with the high school grades competing against each other. The Freshman class came out with the 1st place win. The Tug-n-Pluck the Falcons event took place with the Senior moms vs Senior girls and the Senior Boys vs Senior dads. The loser got a whipped cream pie in the face...(hey Seniors, did you get all that cool whip cleaned off you face!!)
Are You Smarter Than A Jet Fifth-Grader was the next event with the community members playing against the Jet Fifth-Graders. The Jet Fifth-Graders came out with an overwhelming win!!
Homecoming candidate races were next with Maddie Daehling & Wade Hunt, McKenzie McAuliffe & D.J. Thiel, and Kala & Shane Sears participating . 1st place winner of the Go Jets Ski competition went to Maddie & Wade. 1st place winner of the Cheesy Falcon competition went to McKenzie & D.J. Mr Dig It went to Wade Hunt and Miss Fumble Recovery went to McKenzie McAuliffe. The event ended with a final Jet Spirit chant involving everyone, warding off the wingless Falcons and sending them walking home!!. Jets, Jets, Go, Go, Go!
Monday-Friday, September 10-14, 2007, the Jets spirit escalates each day by wearing their favorite theme clothes. Don't be left out..get in the spirit!! Here are the just released themes:

Tuesday, September 11th, Twin Day..double the fun!!!

Friday, September 14th, SPIRIT DAY / AUTOGRAPH Day...GO BIG JETS..show your spirit and get that special autograph of all the FAMOUS JETS in school!!!
Also in the big line up on Friday, the Sterling Post Prom
Parents will be hosting a freewill donation Hamburger Feed.
Post Prom Parents will be at the football field serving
hamburgers, chips & dessert at 6:15 p.m. Don't miss out
on the fun...come with an appetite and help support the Post Prom
Parents and the Sterling Jets!!!!
Then stick around and enjoy the upcoming Homecoming football game when the Sterling Jets take on the Freeman Falcons. Watch the Jets pluck the Falcons and send them walking home!!
At half-time, the Sterling Band take the field for their half-time performance, followed by Homecoming Coronation. Queen candidates are Kala Weber, McKenzie McAuliffe & Maddie Daehling. King candidates are Shane Sears, D.J. Thiel & Wade Hunt. Crown bearers are Logan Edwards and Brian Heusman. The Homecoming Dance will follow immediately after the game.
